MB Haynes employees, family members and friends stepped up to the plate and participated in Bowling for Kids Sake, the annual fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters. 40 employees and 37 family members and friends joined together to form 17 teams this year. In our 9th consecutive year of participating, this was our biggest year ever. Our group was so large this year that Big Brothers Big Sisters set aside a special day, Saturday, February 16, for us to have a bowl-a-rama at Sky Lanes on Patton Ave. We had representation from all divisions, many bowling for the first time ever. Bowlers raised a minimum of $50 each, with many bowlers raising much more. All together, MB Haynes raised $9183 for Big Brothers Big Sisters, more than $1000 more than last year. Our grand prize trophy from BBBS will be displayed proudly in our main office. This is just another way that MB Haynes employees work together to make a difference. At the end of the day, every participant left with the satisfaction of knowing that they had helped make a difference in a child’s life, not to mention the fun had by all. Teams that raised the most money and had the highest average bowling score will be honored in March with a special dinner to congratulate them for their extraordinary efforts. We are already planning to be bigger and better next year, maybe even extend a challenge to other companies out there. MB Haynes employees can make it happen when we all work together!! |
