We switched from another HVAC company to Haynes about 19 months ago. We got a service plan. Twice a year they come out and service the system, check it all out, and answer questions. They are easy to schedule, show up on time, and are polite and cooperative. They will come out between visits if needed and will answer questions about system in between if needed. AND they guarantee the work. WELL WORTH THE MONEY.

Read my reviews over the last TEN years…yes ten years!! I’ll say it again: MB Haynes hires the most courteous and competent technicians of any company I know!! On the same day I had all new fire/CO2 alarms installed (Rocky and Cole) and the 6 month maintenance (Carson) on the heating/cooling system…you just cannot beat these guys. Somehow they manage to work efficiently while interrelating with us…sweet as can be…and cost effective. Just a terrific and trusted relationship over the years. Melanie

After a couple of poor experiences with electricians, I started calling Haynes for residential work. Never had problems. The cost is higher than others in the area, but they are always reliable, arrive when they say they will, and exceed expectations. Only once did I have to call their residential plumbers back to correct an issue that popped up 24 hours later. They fixed it and did not charge me. Highly recommended.

November 2025 update:
Thanksgiving week, my wife and I started to hang Christmas lights outdoors, only to discover that three outdoor GFCI outlets no longer functioned. I called Haynes, and believe it or not, a pair of technicians arrived at my home in 30 minutes. (They happened to be in the neighborhood and had just completed another call.) They investigated the situation, diagnosed the problem, and replaced the old outlets, explaining that they are customarily the weakest link in your household system. They were on their way in under an hour. Thank you, Haynes, for another great job. The techs were named Chris and Devon, but to my family they will always be known as the Electricians Who Saved Christmas!

Haynes Electric has been out doing work on our property the past few days, and I’d like to tell you how it has gone.

The first day, two men showed up with a backhoe to dig a trench and lay some line in it. This involved tearing up a portion of our driveway, making it impassable for the majority of the day. At no point did they ask if I needed to move my car out of the carport before being blocked in, luckily I didn’t have anywhere to be. No big deal, just a lack of courtesy.

Several hours into the project, I went to do dishes, and realized the water was off. Again, a lack of courtesy, no notification that they needed to turn the water off. Imagine my horror, when I went outside to ask about the water after an hour or two and I’m informed that the backhoe operator hit a pipe, breaking the plumbing below the well pump. 26 hours of no running water later, I was fine, my anger washed down the shower drain.

The next morning, I hear a truck in my driveway. Both cars blocked in the carport this time. Again, a lack of common courtesy, no biggie. Now, imagine my surprise when the power goes out. Two kids, two adults, literally stuck in our home with no power, for over an hour. No warning, no knock on the door, didn’t even bother to yell up to me while I was out on the porch watching them work.

Their motto, emblazoned on the side of all their trucks is “Quality, Commitment, Character”

I have witnessed none of these things.

I haven’t even witnessed an ounce of care.

If you need electrical work done, I would recommend literally anyone other than this company.

Would give zero stars if I could.

I use Haynes Heating and Cooling for check ups on my heat pump. They do a great job and also use their yearly maintenance plan.

Furnace acting up and tech came next day and did great job. Happy it wasn’t anything but a critter in the fan!

For years I have relied on Haynes to maintain my heat pump and a/c. That time says a lot about my satisfaction with the company and its employees. Only one need has been unfulfilled recently: the replacement of a filter with odd measurements. It is available in Weaverville at only Ace Hardware, but in the past Haynes has furnished it and, I feel sure, will do so in the future.

We have used MB Haynes Electrical 4-5 times over the past 6 years. We had an emergency electrical panel failure and a knowledge and courteous technician was at our doorstep the next morning to repair at a small cost! Donna in the office is always such a delight to speak with!

These guys (Randy and Kent) are fabulous! They were able to diagnose an issue with our kitchen faucet, remove a crazy heavy old metal tank water filtration system and reroute the pipes in a single visit. They made me feel better about continuing to use our current hot water heater and pressure tank (both a little older but completely functional) and didn't pressure us into replacing things with more expensive models as a previous plumber had done. I felt that the price was very reasonable and look forward to utilizing their services again 🙂

We had some wild buzzing noises coming from our breaker box. Called Haynes Electric and within the hour Jared and Eric showed up. They were extremely kind and respectful, keeping me informed every step of the way. They traced the problem to a line leading to our shed and fixed it quickly. In and out in under 45 minutes. My wife and I are extremely happy with our experience. Definitely recommend!!

Today Carson came out to figure out why our furnace wasn’t working and he was FABULOUS!! He diagnosed the problem, got the replacement part installed and did the preventative maintenance service. I am sooooooo thrilled to be an MB Haynes customer who is now nice and warm thanks to their responsive and high-quality service!

I’ve used Haynes Plumbing and Electrical. In both cases they were very pleasant and professional, knew what they were doing, kept me informed and completed the task quickly. I am not familiar enough with pricing in this market but the costs seemed justified based on my experience elsewhere. I’ll use them as often as necessary.

MB Haynes was an excellent company from the person that set the appointment to the two gentleman that came to install a new water heater for me- start to finish I would use them again! The men that installed my water heater were conscientious and orderly. They completed the job within a couple hours and cleaned up their mess! They even waited an additional 30 minutes until the water heater had a chance to heat up so they could test it. I trust MB HAYNES with all my plumbing needs.
