Inspected and cleaned attic unit. Checked capacitor, replaced air filters, and cleaned and checked outside coil. We had a failed HVAC zone damper. Thomas was able to confirm my suspicions, replace the failed damper, and complete seasonal preventative maintenance while he was here.

I've used MB Haynes for biannual HVAC preventive service for the past few years. Zack is our usual technician and he is always on time and efficient. He's very responsive to my questions and doesn't pressure me to decide on a course of action. Their fee for preventive maintenance is reasonable for the great service they provide. If you're looking for HVAC maintenance/repair, give MB Haynes a try, I'm sure you'll be satisfied.

I had a great experience with Haynes Electricians. They are competent and professional electricians. They installed new light fixtures throughout the inside and exterior of my home. I appreciated Jarret giving me a courtesy phone call when they were on their way and they cleaned up after installations. I highly recommend Haynes electric and will be using them again.

routine annual service check on HVAC system. In the past, I’ve had a much more thorough service, even including spraying of the coils and rinsing to ensure optimum operation at the outside unit. The fee with tax is now $170 when prior year it was not over $100. I will shop more carefully next year for its service check as I believe it could be done better and at a lower cost.

Tyler and Nathan installed a Bradford White gas water heater. I received a call about a half hour before they arrived letting me know they were on their way. The installation went without a hitch. Once installed, the water heater failed to ignite. They tried several several things, contacted others for advice, but in the end, they had to return it and picked up another water heater. It took one half hour before they returned with another heater. The installation went smoothly, taking 1 1/2 hours. The water heater powered right up. Tyler checked for leaks, both gas and water. He didn't depart until the water heater was producing hot water. Highly recommended, no concerns whatsoever. I received estimates from three other companies in Asheville, MB Haynes was the lowest price by several hundred dollars. The fact that the first water heater failed was no fault of theirs. It was a Bradford White manufacturing defect.

The plumbers from MB Haynes did a great job - as always!! - of de-winterizing our Asheville home. When we returned from Florida, all the water was running in all the sinks and toilets - and we even had hot water in the showers!! The gentleman was really prompt; in fact, came at the start of the time window. He explained what he was going to do, and that he'd have to cut the power off for a few minutes. It ended up only being a minute, if not less! He was extremely professional and courteous!

Having contracted with MB Haynes for eight years to design and install proprietary systems, as well as to service them, I can say there is no substitute for working with a local, family-owned heating&cooling + electrical company. MB Haynes attracts and hires qualified administrative and technical employees who are competent and courteous, who are reasonable problem-solvers, and unbelievably “human and caring” in their customer service relationships. We own a 1930s historic home in Montreat and we would not consider other service providers for this beloved home!

I recently signed an annual service contract MB Haynes after searching and getting numerous quotes. Not only were they the lowest price, but they offered great service the first time out and they diagnosed an issue that I wasn't aware of with our HVAC system. Their pricing is fair and transparent and our technician was very courteous, professional, and prompt.

Great service on my AC condenser. They did a thorough job removing 2 years worth of dryer lint that had exhausted out by the unit. Very happy with the service and professionalism.

MB Haynes did electrical work at my home and we are incredibly happy with the work they did. Not only were they prompt, but extremely nice and the work they did was absolutely professional. I did not think it would come out as nice as it did. By-the-way, I'm a repeat customer.

Our water heater began leaking on Saturday. We have water heater repair coverage with Duke Energy, and M.B.Haynes provides the service in our area. After calling Duke, they put us in contact with Haynes. A plumber (Logan) from Haynes called Saturday evening, and said that he had a couple of calls more that night, but he could come on Sunday. I agreed with him that would be okay. He called on Sunday, and came to the house. After assessing the situation, he said that he would replace the water heater, and that he had brought one on his truck so it would be a quick job. (Duke was to pay for both the water heater and the labor to install it up to $2,000, and this was the case). In considering anything that might have contributed to the leak. He checked the pressure of the water coming into the house. The pressure was quite high, and he suggested we should replace the Pressure Reducing Valve. He said that the cost of replacing the PRV would not be covered under our Duke coverage, rather it would be our cost. He gave me a reasonable price, and I agreed to pay for replacement of the PRV. Logan got the entire job, installing the PRV and replacing the water heater, very efficiently and with a great attitude. Logan had been working long hours all week, because we’d had record cold temperatures, but he was very friendly and personable! Everything about the job went very well, and I will call M. B. Haynes anytime I need plumbing services!
