Position Summary:

The CAD Operator will support the Electrical department by creating, updating, and managing technical drawings. This role will assist with BIM coordination, maintaining project documentation, and providing support to other departments as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop floor plans, electrical, mechanical and fire alarm drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Create electrical and mechanical models for use in BIM coordinator using Revit.
  • Participate in online BIM coordination meetings and work to resolve space conflicts with other trades.
  • Utilize Procore, Viewpoint, and BIM360 for document management.
  • Manage Autodesk subscription renewal service.
  • Maintain Microsoft Access databases, Proposal DB, Billing DB, and Tools DB.
  • Create panel schedules in AutoCAD/Microsoft Excel.
  • Order custom engraved labels via Microsoft Excel.
  • Print Brady labels
  • Print Allen-Bradley terminal block markers for the panel shop
  • Print drawings as requested.
  • Assist other departments as requested.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM, Revit or other related software.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness and ability to gain a working knowledge of Electrical functions.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn various internal software program applications.
  • Ability to handle multiple comprehensive tasks at one time.
