Position Summary:

The Pump Truck Technician is responsible for operating pump truck equipment to install, service, and repair a variety of pumping systems. This role includes diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues with pumps, motors, and control systems, as well as performing routine maintenance on pumps, tanks, and related plumbing equipment. The technician conducts system performance tests to ensure proper functionality and communicates clearly with customers about the work performed and any recommended follow-up services.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
  • Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience and proficient in pump system service, plumbing or related work.
  • Experience operating pump trucks or other heavy service vehicles.
  • Must have a positive and cooperative attitude and excellent attendance.
  • Must be able to get along with fellow workers, other tradesmen on the job site, inspectors, customers and the public.
  • Properly use safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of all types of hand tools.
  • Digging equipment operation a plus, but not required.
  • Good customer skills.

  • Work is primarily performed both indoor and outdoor environments in all/extreme weather conditions.
  • This position requires physical activity including extended periods of standing and walking, frequent sitting, kneeling, bending, crouching, reaching, stooping and climbing.
  • Requires the ability to frequently lift and/or carry materials and/or supplies and other materials weighing up to 100 lbs. Occasional lifting and/or carrying of materials and/or supplies weighing up to 150 lbs.
